Instalación de la Zona Franca de Dubai

Creada en abril de 2021, fue la primera zona franca de Dubai dedicada al comercio digital. en Oriente Próximo, el norte de África y el sur de Asia.
The 207,000 square-meter hub offers comprehensive logistics solutions and flexible office spaces while its free trade platform includes tax and investment incentives for businesses.
When it came time to determine how the facility would provide comfort cooling to the entire complex, the main concerns included:
- Energy efficiency
- Ease of maintenance
- Partial load operation (Variable flow)

- Limited Space: The project layout had to accommodate 12 cooling tower cells total, requiring precise planning.
- Motor Placement Preference: The client requested that motors be positioned outside the cooling towers to optimize space, maintenance and longevity.
- Change in Delivery Mode: The original plan included factory-assembled towers, but due to project constraints, the scope was eventually changed to knockdown (KD) delivery.

After consulting with the customer and project contractor, SPX Cooling EMEA determined the best solution would be three (3) Marley NC Cooling Towers (Model NC8414) with the following specifications:
- Full stainless-steel construction for durability and corrosion resistance
- FM Factory Approval
- Low sound fans
- Single bottom inlet
- Variable frequency drive (VFD) panels
- Water level controls and oil level switches
- Total heat capacity of 25,915kW

The cooling towers were delivered on schedule and installation was supervised by the SPX Cooling team, working closely with the onsite contractor. The cooling towers were engineered to include outside airstream motors, as requested, with industry-leading Marley Geareducer® gearboxes. Despite delays in the full scope of the mechanical system, installation of the cooling towers was completed successfully, and the towers are operating smoothly.
- The cooling towers met the facility’s efficiency goals, ensuring optimal chiller operation.
- Addition of Marley Drift Eliminators, MarleyGard Low-Flow Nozzle Cups y Sweeper Piping System help minimize water consumption and power requirements throughout the year.
- The client is preparing for Phase 2 and has already reached out to SPX Cooling EMEA for technical assistance.

The successful installation of Marley cooling towers at this free zone facility in Dubai highlights SPX Cooling EMEA’s capability to deliver reliable, energy-efficient, space-optimized cooling solutions. Today, this free zone facility offers a variety of businesses a modern building space and landscapes to encourage clients to adopt a healthy and active approach to business.
