Marley NCWD
A patented, innovative factory-assembled hybrid cooling tower designed specifically for plume reduction, NCWD is the result of Marley’s extensive experience designing and constructing hybrid cooling towers globally.
Efficient cold-water temperatures can be achieved with reduced visible plume, akin to dry cooling systems.

Details and Features
• Designed to abate tower plume at lower temperatures even with the same humidity
• Designed for one-third to one-fifth the visible plume*
• Up to 20% water savings when running coil section versus standard cooling tower
Principles of Hybrid (Wet/Dry) Cooling
A hybrid cooling tower like the Marley NCWD functions like a wet cooling tower, in principle, with an additional “dry section” installed in the upper part of the cooling tower, which reduces visible plume by heating wet air coming from the “rain zone.” The NCWD’s unique design, including its high single-cell capacity, allows for the same tonnage as series path cooling towers, but with up to 44% lower power consumption and as much as 40% less operating weight.
*Vs series path designs, based on a percentage of year with plume and ASHRAE weather data
